Yesterday was the final of the world cup....and I really wanted to care. The truth is that I DID care...to a certain extent. my father is from Guatemala, so I think legally I HAVE to like soccer....there is a quota of about 3 games annually that you must watch otherwise you can't get into certain bars....a number of social circles will ostracize you......its awful really.
So I hit my quota nice and early this year with the world cup.....watched most of the games.....
I felt bad for the USA. They had a good team....but just couldn't seal the deal. Sad.
"Let's Make a Deal" came back to TV recently.....I remember the original....which makes me feel old.....however i don't think it would have been considered a show from MY generation.....i was like...10 when the show was on....
its weird.....but i think some of the games and such are much better than say....the price is right.
don't get me wrong....great show....but i like how interactive Lets Make a Deal is....its riskier....but more fun to watch i think.
Lastly....my soon-to-be niece.....she is very cute.....and used to be very afraid of me. like....would cry at the sight of me.
yesterday....she came over and just started chatting away with me....dragging me all over the house to play whatever game she came up with in her mind....
i tell you...it was a blast. it also made me realize that I think more like a 3 year old than I would like to admit....at some point during this blog project...i will go in depth about this 3 year old "alter-ego" that i have....
